Office of Communications and Public Affairs : Washington and Lee University

The Office of Communications and Public Affairs works collaboratively with faculty, staff, students and alumni to develop strategic communications and tell engaging, authentic stories that sustain and enhance W&L's reputation, strengthen its community, and advance its mission.

Content, Marketing and Media

The Content, Marketing and Media group provides expertise in writing, editing, photography, videography, media relations and social media, with specialists focused on communications for admissions, advancement and internal audiences.

Publications and Design

The Publications group is responsible for the design and production of major University publications, and is available to assist on-campus constituents with other design projects, including brochures, posters and other printed materials.

Digital Communications

Digital Communications is responsible for the W&L's primary digital communications tools, including the university website, intranet, Campus Notices system, online event calendar and web accessibility efforts.

Athletic Communications

Athletic Communications provides coverage of the University's athletic teams and student-athletes and produces the popular Sports Weekly webcast. The staff is available to media to help coordinate interviews, photographs and other requests.

WLUR Radio

Washington and Lee's campus radio station, WLUR 91.5 FM Lexington, provides programming by students, faculty, staff and community members and broadcasts a wide range of musical genres, sports, talk shows, news and public affairs.
