Content, Marketing and Media
The Content, Marketing and Media group provides expertise in writing, editing, photography, videography, media relations and social media, producing print and digital communications targeted to three key audiences:
- Admissions: The director and assistant director of admissions and financial aid, in collaboration with staff in Admissions and Financial Aid, specialize in communications intended for prospective students and families, including the admissions website and viewbook.
- Advancement: The university editor and assistant editor, in collaboration with staff in University Advancement, specialize in communications intended for alumni and friends of the university, including the W&L magazine and law newsletter.
- Internal Audiences: The director of internal communications works with academic and administrative offices across the university to craft effective communications intended for faculty, staff and current students, including the intranet, Campus Notices and online event calendar.
The senior director of constituent communications and senior director of content strategy works with staff writers to produce content for The Columns, W&L's online news magazine, and with university photographers and videographers to produce the popular Scene on Campus photo diary and the university's robust streaming video program.
The executive director of communications and public affairs manages media relations for the university, providing media consulting and training to faculty, staff and students, and pitching stories to regional and national media. The assistant director of constituent communications works with local media to promote stories and events of interest to the local community.
