We are pleased to announce that the official commencement celebrations for the undergraduate and law classes of 2020 will take place on Saturday, Sept. 11.
The commencement ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m. on the Front Lawn, followed by a luncheon. The evening will be capped off with class dinners for graduates and their guests and a fireworks display. Mindful of the significance of the date, we will begin the day with a commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks for those who wish to attend.
Fall is a very busy time in Lexington, with numerous events at W&L, VMI, and the Virginia Horse Center, as well as private events that were rescheduled due to the pandemic. Hotel rooms will be at a premium, and attendees are encouraged to inquire about availability as soon as possible. We are prepared to block rooms outside of Lexington, if necessary, and to provide buses to and from the event.
More information about the schedule and other details will be posted on this website as they are finalized.
