
German Department
We offer both a major and a minor in German. Our German program consists of a vibrant mix of literature, language and culture studies.
We offer many enriching cultural opportunities while in Lexington and more still when students study abroad in our programs in Bayreuth and Berlin. Our department also provides vital scholarship support for prestigious programs like Fulbright research or teaching assistantship program, as well as the opportunity to compete for career enhancing business internship programs in commerce and laboratory internships the sciences. Recent graduates are enjoying exciting and varied careers in areas such as international commerce, finance, law, international banking, and teaching.
