Sam Wilson is a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, Qualified Mental Health Professional, and Social Work graduate student at the University of Kentucky. He has a diverse clinical background including work in crisis stability centers, mental health skill-building services, and outpatient medication-assisted treated (MAT) centers. His rural Appalachian upbringing in the wake of the Opioid Epidemic has shaped his pragmatic and humanist approach to recovery support. His professional interests include the philosophy of liberation, community/peer-based support services, and collective healing.
