Curriculum Vitae

Professor Gilbert joined the W&L faculty in 2019 after completing her Ph.D. in Management at the University of Florida. Prior to her doctoral studies, she worked in a number of different organizational roles, most recently as the coordinator of the writing center at the University of Central Florida. She teaches courses in the area of organizational behavior.

Research

Professor Gilbert’s research focuses on how people can improve their experiences at work, including such topics as voice, employee well-being, and constructive deviance in organizations. Her work has been published in Personnel Psychology (winner of the 2017 Best Paper Award) and the Journal of Organizational Behavior, and her doctoral dissertation won a research award from the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. She is also a member of the Academy of Management and has presented at their annual meetings.
