Important Dates for Students Living in University Housing
The term "University Housing" refers to ALL University-owned housing facilities including Gaines, Graham-Lees, Woods Creek Apartments, the Village, theme and Greek houses. Email email@example.com with any questions or concerns.

UNDERGRADUATE WINTER AND SPRING TERM 2020
Saturday, January 4, 2020
University housing reopens students returning from fall study abroad, to women participating in formal sorority recruitment, Residential Life staff, and Peer Counselors ONLY. No other students will be permitted to move-in before Saturday, January 4, 2019. Note: Residential Life and Public Safety will closely monitor University housing. Any student on campus without approval will be reported to the Office of Residential Life and subject to documentation and fees.
Tuesday, January 7, 2020
University housing reopens; All residents may return to University housing.
*No student will be allowed to move in prior to this date without explicit permission from the Office of Residential Life. Requests for early arrival will be reviewed on a case by case basis (extenuating circumstances only). If approved, there will be a $50.00/day early arrival fee. Students who arrive early without prior approval may be documented and assessed the early arrival fee. If you have questions, you may contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

Students spring optioning or studying abroad for Spring Term 2020 must completely move out of University housing by 5:00pm.
April 20-24, 2019
Spring Break; Students are not required to leave campus. University housing remains OPEN.
*Students studying abroad for spring term are required to completely move-out of campus housing 24 hours after their last Winter Term exam and no later than 5pm Saturday, April 18, 2020. Students may not store belongings in University housing while studying abroad, and students will not be permitted to return to University housing at the conclusion of their study abroad program.

Students returning to University housing from winter study abroad programs may return to campus. Room keys will be available for pick-up from the Office of Public Safety.
Sunday, May 24, 2020
End of the academic year; Students are required to vacate University housing within 24 hours of their last exam and no later than 5:00pm on Sunday, May 24, 2019.
*Exceptions: graduating seniors, Residential Life staff, or students directly involved in commencement week events (singers, flag bearers, etc.) in which late-stay approval must be requested and approved by the Office of Residential Life.

Undergraduate Commencement begins at 10:00 a.m.
Friday, May 29, 2020
All seniors and approved late stays must vacate housing by 5:00pm; all University housing is closed.
Students are encouraged to review the undergraduate academic calendar for 2019-2020.

Thanksgiving Break. University housing will remain open for Thanksgiving Break.

University housing closes at 5:00pm. Students are required to vacate University housing within 24 hours of their last exam and no later than 5:00pm on Saturday, December 19, 2020.
