Copyrights for Course Materials

All members of the University community are expected to adhere to United States Copyright Law and to follow Washington and Lee's Policy for the Use of Copyrighted Work.

Faculty members should review the University policy at the link above to determine which category of the Photocopying Guidelines for Teaching and Research (see Section II) applies to course material. Copyright permission must be obtained prior to the beginning of an academic term.

Please complete and submit the copyright request form for all permissions relating to course packs and Canvas use. For Faculty who have course packs from previous terms, please e-mail Alex Williams if you wish to reuse the material. She can resubmit what you have used previously.
