W&L Employee Resource Group (ERG) Program
Washington and Lee recognizes the value of fostering a strong sense of community among faculty and staff. To support meaningful connections, the Provost's Office and Human Resources have partnered to offer Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), which bring together employees with shared interests and experiences. ERGs are voluntary, employee-led groups open to all faculty and staff. ERGs strengthen our University community by acting as a platform for employees to connect, share experiences, and contribute to a supportive workplace environment.
While ERGs are employee-led, the University provides funding and infrastructure to support robust events and programming. All faculty and staff are welcome to attend and participate in any ERG. Please contact the co-chairs listed below to stay informed on ERG programming:
- Alumni: Alumni Engagement Sponsored (by invitation)

- Black, African American, and the African Diaspora: Courtney Penn and Dayo Abah
- Caregivers: Wendy Rains, Karla Bunn and Emily King
- Disabilities and Chronic Conditions: Kristy Crickenberger, Alex Sutton and Catherine Xia
