Meal Plans

At Washington and Lee University, we understand that easy access to good food is fundamental to student success. One day you may need a quick bite on the way to class, and the next you may have more time to relax and enjoy a meal with friends. To help ensure that these needs are met, our meal plans allow the maximum flexibility and value across our 8 on-campus dining locations.

Undergraduate Plans

All upper-division meal plans will continue to enjoy full retail exchange at any time within all retail outlets.  All plans will also feature $550 in Meal Plan Flex Dollars - about $15 per week - to use for à la carte spending across the campus dining locations.  This is allocated as $250 with the fall plan and $300 with the winter/spring plan.

For your convenience, all students will be assigned to the corresponding default meal plan as shown below.

Law Plans

While the Brief Stop is the convenient in-building option, all law meal plans can be used across all campus dining units.  1L and 2L students will automatically be enrolled in the Law1000 Plan, which gives you $500 in meal plan flex per semester.  1L and 2L students are required to have at least the Law1000 plan, but may choose to opt into a block plan as outlined below.

Note: Meal plan flex dollars do not carry over from Fall Semester to Spring Semester.

3L students are not automatically enrolled in any plan, but can opt in to any meal plan by completing the online meal plan form

Sick Meal Request Form

Not feeling well? The Sick Meal Request will allow for a designated student (remedy buddy) to assemble and carry out your meals from The Marketplace and deliver to you. You may notify us of your meal request by web submission of this form or by your remedy buddy presenting a completed copy of this form to The Marketplace Cashier. Sick Meal Request forms are also available in The Marketplace. Students requiring meal delivery must request meals prior to the beginning of the meal period (Breakfast at 7:00AM, Lunch at 11:00AM and Dinner at 5:00PM). All meal requests can be submitted at the same time if it is more convenient for the student. The Marketplace menu is available here. Our staff will then reach out to set a designated delivery time.
