Class Block Schedule for Spring Term Spring term standard course blocks within the faculty's course scheduling guidelines

Spring Term Guidelines

For a 1-credit spring term course, must include at least 3 hours of direct contact with faculty and an additional minimum of 6 hours of instructional time in- or out-of-class work for each student per week. Basic class blocks can be chosen from below and modified to shorten or meet fewer days as appropriate.

For a 3-credit spring term course, contact time must include at least 9 hours of direct contact with faculty and an additional minimum of 18 hours of instructional time in- or out-of-class work for each student per week.

For a 4-credit spring term course, contact time must include at least 12 hours of direct contact with faculty and an additional minimum of 24 hours of instructional time in- or out-of-class work for each student per week.

In order to schedule PE courses compatibly with 3- or 4-credit courses, faculty teaching without off-campus activities should attempt to choose class times that leave one of the PE class blocks available.
