Graham-Lees Hall
Graham-Lees Hall is a traditional dormitory for first-year students located in the core area of campus. It is the oldest residential building at W&L, combining two previously separate buildings. Originally designed in typical hall fashion with shared bathrooms, its fixtures and finishes had become worn, and the building was not air-conditioned. Graham-Lees was closed for renovations in summer 2013. A Residential Life Task Force has recommended keeping first-year students housed in the central campus area and creating internal building spaces that are not as isolating as the former hall design. New common areas and program spaces will address that need.
Half of the building will reopen for residents in winter 2015. The other half will reopen in fall 2015.
