I am naturally an empath and have always found myself in a position of listening compassionately to others. It was not until I had my own experience with counseling as a young child; however, that I was drawn to this work. The experience of being truly heard and seen left an indelible mark on me and made me want to provide that same experience to others. I create a safe and supportive environment where the individual can feel seen and heard. It energizes me to see people make the connections for themselves and have “a ha” moments or “breakthroughs.” I see my role as a change agent, facilitating change within the context of the therapeutic relationship that individuals can take into their day to day lives.
