Cape Town Summer Internship Program

During this 8-week summer program that combines internships and site-based learning, students can earn 6 credits (3 POL, 3 BUS) while developing a deeper understanding of the business climate, history and culture of Cape Town, South Africa.  Located at the tip of the African continent, Cape Town has a vibrant start-up culture with a growing emphasis on social entrepreneurship which affords internship opportunities. In addition, students will participate in a number of activities designed to foster a deeper understanding of South Africa’s culture, history, ecology and business environment.  The marquee event will be an excursion along the south-eastern coast of South Africa with accommodations/safari at a private game reserve. This program is ideal for rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors with from any W&L major.

London Internship Program

The Williams School coordinates Washington and Lee's eight-week program that combines classroom study and internships with firms in and around London. Students are matched with businesses and not-for-profits based upon their professional interests. In addition to the internship and classes, students have opportunities to network with Washington and Lee alumni who work in several industries.

Internship and Study Semester in Asia Pacific (ISSAP)

Students participating in the Internship and Study Semester in Asia Pacific (ISSAP) will earn 15 credits by completing the following: Four 3-credit hour courses over an 8-week period (two courses per 4-week period) in Sydney, Australia and a seven week 3-credit hour (unpaid) internship.
