About Salaam Bhatti:

Salaam Bhatti is the Deputy Director at the Virginia Poverty Law Center. His work focuses on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and school meals. He is a lobbyist at the state assembly where he works to ensure low-income Virginians do not need to jump through more hoops to get less benefits. He lives in Henrico with his wife and son.
