States of Exception: A Colloquium at Washington and Lee University

Schedule

8:30 am Begin assembling in Elrod Commons Room 345. Refreshments provided
9:00 am Welcome and program overview: colloquium as a networking and planning meeting.
9:15 am Participant self-introductions. Attendees will have had opportunity to read about peers’ interests and biographical information on the colloquium website. The morning’s informal, five-minute (tops!) introductions serve as reminders and opportunity to put faces to names.
12:15 pm Buffet lunch in the W&L Marketplace (ground floor of Elrod Commons). Seating/ place cards will have been arranged by colloquium organizers based on participants’ expressed interests.
1:30 pm Self-directed caucuses. Opportunity for attendees to continue conversations from lunch and/or connect with other participants. Elrod Commons Rooms 114, 206, 214, and 345 are reserved for this purpose. Attendees should, as inclined, feel free to use these or any other available places.
3:00 pm All reassemble in Elrod Commons 345 to share thoughts and collaborative plans or possibilities germinated over the course of the day. Refreshments provided
4:30 pm Adjourn
