Winter Term 2025 Advising Advice

Faculty should reach out to first-year advisees to do a face-to-face check in. Midterm grades are due on Monday, October 21, 2024 at noon. Students should have a full picture of their grades by Tuesday, October 22, 2024, so meetings after that for both midterm grades and Winter Term registration discussions would be appropriate.

Please remind students that midterm grades are simply snapshots. For those who are not doing as well as they would like, remind them that there is plenty of time for improvement and help is available in the Harte Center and the First Year Term in Student Affairs. For those doing well, congratulate them, but urge them not to rest on their midterm laurels.

Undergraduate Winter 2025 Registration runs as follows:

• Seniors: Monday, October 28 (7:30 AM to 4 PM)
• Juniors: Wednesday, October 30 (7:30 AM to 4 PM)
• Sophomores: Friday, November 1 (7:30 AM to 4 PM)
• First-Years: Tuesday, November 5 (7:30 AM to 4 PM)

Please plan accordingly so that you have time to meet advisees face to face and when you have your Winter Registration meeting, please remember to remove their holds.
