Outer Banks Adventure Spring Break

Trip Description

Think you like sea kayaking, beach combing or just looking at the dunes? What about adding a heaping meal of steamed spiced shrimp and some incredible hang gliding at Jockey's Ridge State Park? Throw in some surf fishing and climbing the famous Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and you've got the Outing Club's OBX ADV trip! In past year's we have eaten freshly caught Rockfish (Stripped Bass) and even camped on the beach complete with bonfire.

We stay at a great bed and breakfast and take day trips out each day of the break. This trip is extremely flexible due to several factors: the weather and the fact that we have a small group. There will be a lot of other time to spend flying kites, beach combing, visiting local areas, etc. Optional activities include: Ft. Raleigh National Monument, Cape Hatteras National Seashore, Boat Factory/ ship yard, Jockey's Ridge State Park, Nags Head, NC Aquarium, Historic Downtown Manteo, Bodies Island Lighthouse. This trip allows the group to decide what they want to do-and then make it happen.

The Outing Club is excited to offer a one-of-a-kind trip for this Spring Break. Spend your break in the Outer Banks of North Carolina Hang Gliding, Sea Kayaking and Charter Boat Fishing. Learn to fly a glider where the Wright Brothers took their first flight! Sea Kayak waters once home to the likes of Pirates such as Blackbeard and Captain Morgan. Catch incredible fish off shore in a private boat. Trip includes transportation, all meals, activities and equipment. Lodging will be in a wonderful bed and breakfast in Manteo, NC. We will cook our own gourmet meals in the kitchen and use their indoor facilities. Space is extremely limited for this trip so do not delay, it will fill fast so grab a friend and sign up for some excitement! No experience needed- just a flexible attitude and willingness to enjoy yourself regardless of the weather conditions!
