Emmanuel Abebrese

Emmanuel Abebrese is a 4th year medical student at the University of Virginia (UVA). He moved from Ghana to the United States of America in 2008 for education. He completed high school in Northern Virginia, and attended Washington and Lee University as a Biochemistry Majorand Poverty Minor as a pre-med student. Before med school he attended UVA's McIntire School of Commerce where he completed the MS in Commerce Program on the Marketing and Management Track. He has traveled to Thailand, India, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Canada, and Ghana for work, service and education. His interests include surgery, improving patient access to healthcare and its affordability, entrepreneurship, telehealth, and service. He has started and helped start two 501c3 non-profits, one LLC,and has served on the boards of two non-profits. His parents' service as Christian missionaries inspired him to also pursue a life of service.
