Puccini's political thriller set in 1800 Rome follows the diva Floria Tosca as she fights to save her lover, Mario Cavaradossi, from the evil police chief Baron Scarpia. In this special encore presentation, soprano Lise Davidsen stars in title role of Puccini's ultimate diva, opposite tenor Freddie De Tommaso ("La Bohème") as Cavaradossi and baritone Quinn Kelsey as Scarpia in the acclaimed 2024 performance of the Met's monumental production by David McVicar ("Fedora," "Medea," "Il Trovatore").
Film sponsored in part by Class of '64 Performing Arts Fund.
