University Orchestra and University Wind Ensemble Concert: "Concerto-Aria Winner's Concert"

Join the University Orchestra and Wind Ensemble as student accomplishments are celebrated during the pandemic on April 5 at 6:30 p.m. on Cannan Green with a rain date on April 7 at 6:30 p.m. on Cannan Green.
The Cannan Geeen concert is open ONLY to members of the W&L community. In order to be admitted, audience members will check-in, have their temperature recorded, and provide their daily attestation. Masking and social distancing protocols will be vigorously enforced.
In addition, the performance will be streamed online from Cannan Green at https://livestream.com/wlu.
The University Orchestra features Hyun Song '21, cello, as soloist on Dvorak's "Silent Woods," and Song along with Missy Thomas '22 and Coletta Fuller '21 as student conductors for "Symphony No. 2" by Joseph de Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges.
Also featured will be the world premiere of Quinn Mason's "Immerse." The University Wind Ensemble features Carissa Petzold '21, clarinet, as soloist on Mozart's "Concert for Clarinet," and as arranger and conductor for the world re-premiere of three tunes by Benjamin Grierson. Also featured are Sam Tanenblatt '21, Truman Chancy '22, and Taylor Colaizzi '23 as student conductors for Vaughan Williams iconic "English Folk Song Suite."
There are several backup options due to unpredictable April weather. In case of inclement weather on April 5, the concert will be performed on April 7. If the weather won't cooperate on either date, the concerts will be livestreamed. Those dates/times will be announced should the need arise.
