Please join us for a public discussion via zoom of Lynn Nottage's Pulitzer-prize-winning play, SWEAT, on Saturday October 3, at 7:30 p.m. Students who participated in guest artist Nafeesa Monroe's masterclass will lead the conversation.

The play, set in the years 2000 and 2008 in Reading, Pennsylvania, touches on the intersectional issues of race and class in the lives of a group of factory workers during the height of the economic downturn.

These brave student artists, many of them for the first time, chose to dive into this material and explore, expand, and empathize with these characters and this story. Join them to hear more about the process and what they have learned along the way.
