Washington and Lee music professor and SonoKlect producer Terry Vosbein spent the 2017-18 school year on sabbatical, researching, composing and traveling. The year culminated with two solid months of writing new big band music in Paris. The results of this adventure will be presented by the Valley’s leading jazz orchestra.

The Vosbein Magee Big Band brings together the region’s top jazz performers and arrangers, continuing their tradition of presenting music not heard elsewhere by sublime musicians. Trumpet master Chris Magee shares leadership duties with Vosbein from his spot in the middle of the back row, where he holds down the lead and jazz trumpet chair.
