Samite in Concert

Samite Mulondo, émigré from Uganda and masterful flute and kalimba (thumb piano) player, has concertized around the world, produced soundtracks for film and television, helped child soldiers heal in his native region, and created thought-provoking educational programs for young American audiences. According to the Los Angeles Times, “The multiple rhythms are forceful but not domineering, and Samite’s melodies ride over and through them to create a soothing, almost lullaby-like effect. It’s modern African folk music….”
