Celebrating its 40th season, Shakespeare at Notre Dame is proud to be the American base for Actors From The London Stage, one of the oldest and most respected companies of its kind.

In celebration of Shakespeare's 100th Anniversary, AFTLS will conduct a five-day residency of performances and in-class workshops at Washington and Lee University. Five actors-who hail from such prestigious companies as the Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre of Great Britain, and Shakespeare's GlobeTheatre-breathe new life into full-length Shakespearean works for their audiences.

Each residency is highlighted by performances of a full-length Shakespeare production. Featuring minimal props, costumes, and set, the clever staging showcases the talents of this unique five-member ensemble while keeping the focus where it belongs-on Shakespeare's words.  Performances will be on February 16, 17 and 18, 2016 in the Lenfest Center/Johnson Theatre at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets are required for all performances.
