Parents & Family Weekend Choral Concert

Concert is 75 minutes long.

Come kick off the choral season at W&L with the University Singers, Men's Glee Club, and Cantatrici.  The concert will begin with the combined forces of the Men's Glee Club and the Men of the University Singers performing Michael McGlynn's powerful Hinbarra.  Cantatrici will follow with several works including Giselle Wyers' The Waking; then the Glee Club and Cantatrici will join forces for several pieces.  The centerpiece of the program will be the University Singers' performance of Ola Gjeilo's setting of O magnum mysterium, also know as Serenity, which will feature senior Cole Schott on the violoncello.  Masterpieces by Felix Mendelssohn, Mack Wilberg, and a special performance of Take Me Home, Country Roads will round out the evening finally closing with the W&L tradition, Shenandoah.
