Jordan Kriston, Partnering Through Improvisation

Jordan Kriston was born in Illinois and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She grew up playing sports and spending lots of time outdoors. Athletics and interest in the arts eventually led Jordan to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance Performance from Arizona State University. She moved to Brooklyn in 2006 and freelanced with various choreographers including H.T. Chen and Douglas Dunn. She joined Pilobolus Dance Theater in 2010 where she helped create over a dozen new works with the company. She has performed  and taught movement collaboration workshops in almost all 50 U.S. states and several countries around the world. Jordan was one of the teachers for the 2017 Pilobolus summer workshop series where she co-led classes in improvistion, partnering, collaboration and choreography.
