Two-part Improvisation Master Class and Performance Led by Jonathan Chapman Cook

Improvisation Master Class will be Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 6 p.m. at the Jefferson Street Dance Studio.

This two part improvisational workshop led by pianist, composer and teacher, Jonathan Chapman Cook, is a participatory event that pairs improvisational musicianship with movement. The improvisational methods used in this master class are organically linked to dance improvisation based on authentic movement. This Master Class will include a series of exercises, each using a set of guidelines and prompts which will slowly grow into a dance/piano work.

Performance will be Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 5 p.m.
