Fall/Alumni Weekend Choral Concert
The Fall/Alumni Weekend Choral Concert features the University Singers, Men's Glee Club, and Cantatrici. The centerpiece of the program will be two movements from Ennio Morricone's classic film score, The Mission, which will be performed with lights and dance in a stunning display of musical and visual art. Also featured will be the Lexington debut of Ēriks Ešenvalds' new composition, Long Road, which will be directed by conducting mentorship student Morgan Luttig '14. Masterpieces by Palestrina, Dan Forrest, Shane Lynch, and others will round out the evening, closing with a rousing modern spiritual by William L. Dawson and the W&L tradition, Shenandoah. This concert will include the Family Weekend literature, with additional works by Gustav Holst, Eric Barnum, and Ola Gjeilo, and many others.
