A Celebration of Great Film Music University-Shenandoah Symphony Orchestra

A two-night run including selections from Les Misérables featuring Broadway's Ivan Rutherford and Michelle Ponder '14

In a two-day performance event, former Broadway star and famed actor Ivan Rutherford will highlight the fall performances of the University-Shenandoah Symphony Orchestra in Wilson Concert Hall. Lenfest, W&L Class of '63 and USSO collaborate to present Rutherford, who has performed the role of Jean Valjean in Les Misérables more than 2,000 times on Broadway and on national tours. Rutherford joins the Symphony in performances of "Stars," "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables," and "Bring Him Home," all from the popular musical. Also, from the musical, senior voice major Michelle Ponder will sing the selections "On My Own," and "I Dreamed a Dream."
