Alecia Swasy worked as a reporter and editor at the Wall Street Journal, Tampa Bay Times among other publications prior to earning her Ph.D. at the Missouri School of Journalism in 2014. She was previously the Tom and June Netzel Sleeman Scholar and Professor at the University of Illinois.
