Below find the difference between the three ways to share (or not share) your student records. FERPA - Allows you to designate specific people that faculty and staff can talk to about the records you indicate. For example, your designee calls and wants to talk about your schedule or housing this allows us to talk to them about your records. Third Party Access - Creates a portal account for the designees you list here to log in with their own credentials and look at the information you select. Privacy Settings - If you choose to put a FERPA block on your account or choose not to share your information outside of this institution, we will not be able to talk about any of your records with anyone. This would include the announcement of awards, your name in the commencement program, and degree or enrollment verification for jobs or insurance coverage, etc."
