PrintCan I use my gaming device on the W&L wireless network?
Yes, just register it by completing the steps below.
How do I register my personal electronics (including gaming devices) so that they can be used on the W&L wireless network?
- Find your Media Access Control (MAC) address
- Fill out the self-registration by following these steps:
- Click on the registration link here
- Enter your W&L credentials for the ClearPass login
- Click on the tab that says, "Create Device"
- Give the device an appropriate name such as, FirstLast_XBOX
- Provide the MAC Address
- Click "Create Device"
- Turn your device off and unplug - removing power for at least 30 minutes after registration
- Attach the registered device to the WLU network
Why is my game device not working?
Gaming devices such as the Xbox 360 and Wii and other special-purpose network devices such as the Roku do not function on the secure wireless network until you register them for use (see above).
What electronic devices can I connect to the wireless network?
- Nintendo Switch
- PlayStation 5
- PlayStation 4
- Wii U
- Xbox Series S or Series X
- Amazon Fire Stick/TV
- Apple TV
- Roku
- Samsung TV
- Amazon Alexa
- iPad
- Kindle (Touch, Paperwhite)
Chromecast, Google Home, and devices requiring direct communication with another device to be set up are not supported.
