Physical/Mechanical Lab (Science Addition 202D)
This space is a physical and virtual sandbox for courses and research that integrate real-world components with high-speed recording capabilities. Items can also be attached to permanent scaffolding on the ceiling, and large segmented tables allow for quick reconfiguration of the space. The room has sealed floor and drain system for wet experiments.
Students can make use of an 80" HD Sharp PN-L802B Interactive Whiteboard LED-LCD Display, a touch-screen digital whiteboard with interactive tools facilitating efficient communication and collaboration. The 1920x1080 resolution HD whiteboard can stream multiple video signals and is great for remote video conferencing and webinars, as well as teleconferences. By use of Sharp Pen Software, all function icons such as "Open" and "Print" can be controlled by touch pen or by the touch of a finger. The Pen Software is also compatible with Microsoft Windows 7 and Office, and easily imports documents such as PowerPoint presentations. These documents can be edited and drawn over by touch as well.
The room is also equipped with the following lighting systems:
- Arri 4 Leaf Barndoor Set for 650W Fresnel, 200W HMI, 400W Pocket PAR
Barndoors attach to the front of a light and are used to restrict light from areas of a set. They have either four or eight leaves that can be adjusted. Arri barndoors are heat resistant and rotatable.
- Arri T1 1,000W Location Fresnel (Hanging, 120-240VAC)
When fitted with a 1000-watt bulb, this fixture will provide a 2.8' (0.9 m) diameter beam of 409 fc from a distance of 20' (6.1 m) at full spot. At full flood (same distance) it will provide a 48 fc, 20.4' (6.2 m) diameter beam.

The IFB1024-S reaches 10,344 lux/970 fc brightness at a 3' distance.
