Faculty Meeting Dependent Care
W&L's Faculty Meeting Dependent Care Reimbursement Program helps those employees with caregiving responsibilities more easily attend after-hours faculty meetings. The Office of Human Resources will reimburse the cost of hiring a caregiver for dependents who require supervision while the employee attends University Faculty and Undergraduate Faculty Meetings, including:
- children under the age of 13
- dependents with special needs or disability who are incapable of caring for themselves.
It's simple and flexible: an employee hires a caregiver of their own choosing and is reimbursed for reasonable costs.
Upon submission of the Reimbursement Request Form, the employee will be reimbursed for caregiver expenses required for Faculty Meeting attendance (up to $20 per hour). This benefit is taxable. No receipt is required. Requests must be submitted within 60 days of each covered faculty meeting.
