Nursing Parents

W&L supports employees, students, and campus visitors who are nursing and/or pumping by providing private lactation rooms on campus:

Each room is equipped with a mini refrigerator, a comfortable chair, and access to electricity.

W&L Employees:

In accordance with the PUMP Act, the University supports lactating employees by providing reasonable break time and a private space to express milk for up to one year following the birth of a child.

Employees are encouraged to discuss their needs with their supervisor. They may use the designated lactation rooms or their own office space, if private. If an employee's workspace does not offer sufficient privacy, alternatives can be discussed with Human Resources.

Refrigeration may be provided to employees for the safe storage of expressed milk during the workday.
