PATH Annual Cycle
There are three phases of each annual PATH cycle. The steps within each phase are as follows:
Goal-setting: July through October
- Log into Workday and find PATH goal-setting task in your inbox
- Review and reflect on competencies
- Enter goals
- Review and reflect on job description
- Submit PATH, which goes to supervisor
- Supervisor reviews and approves goals, with discussion if needed
Mid-year review: November through February
- Revise, update, change existing goals if needed
- Add new goals if priorities have shifted or your job has changed
- Add comments about progress towards meeting goals
- Check in with supervisor to make sure expectations are clear
- Request feedback from supervisor
*The mid-year review is optional for employees unless the supervisor requests/requires it.
End-of-year review: March through June
Employee completes self-assessment
- Reflect on performance over the past year
- Add comments and select ratings as prompted in Workday
- Submit to supervisor
Supervisor evaluation
- Reflect on employee's performance over the past year
- Add comments and select ratings as prompted in Workday
- Selects an overall performance rating and development stage rating
- Submits PATH review to their manager for review and approval
Supervisor schedules end-of-year PATH conversation
- Facilitates developmentally-focused discussion about performance over the past year - to include strengths, growth opportunities, career aspirations, and professional development interests
