Organizational Scope
- Supervises a small to mid-sized team of exempt individual contributors (>2 FTEs)
OR - Multiple teams headed by M(E1s)
- May spend up to 20% of time as an individual contributor performing assignments that require a higher level of experience or technical expertise than subordinates
- Contributes to development of an operating plan, budget, and performance goals
- Manages a budget
- Has direct impact on results of W&L as a whole
Knowledge OR Problem Complexity
- Analyzes and investigates complex problems and devises solutions
- Makes decisions based on professional methods, business principles, and experience
- Knows and effectively applies concepts and procedures relative to training and developing talent, budgeting, and cost control
Supervision Received/Independent Judgment
- Under general direction, works from defined policies and procedures
- Typically involves evaluation on short- to intermediate-term results but not on procedures used to accomplish results
Direction of Others
- Supervises supervisors/team leaders and/or exempt individual contributor employees (and associated support staff)
Typical Training/Experience*
- Typically requires BS/BA in directly related discipline or field of study; advanced degree may be required
- Certification is required in some areas
- Generally requires 4+ years of experience in field plus 2+ years of lead or supervisory experience
* 2 years of directly related professional experience can be substituted in lieu of 1 year of education required
