Organizational Scope
- Supervises >2 non-exempt employees

- May manage elements/portions of the budget

Knowledge OR Problem Complexity
- Understands basic supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation, and disciplinary action
- Solves operational and people problems using knowledge of university policies and practices and experience
Supervision Received/Independent Judgment
- Receives limited supervision with alternating periods of relative autonomy and general review
- Typically involves checks for progress toward completion of work objectives

- Supervises >2 non-exempt employees or a single exempt employee
Typical Training/Experience*
- Typically requires BS/BA in directly related discipline in field of study; advanced degree may be preferred
- Certification is required in some areas
- Generally requires 4+ years of experience in field or area of responsibility
