Supplemental Life Insurance

In addition to the basic life insurance benefit, eligible employees may purchase additional life insurance for themselves. Without underwriting, an employee can purchase $100,000, or purchase up to $300,000 with medical underwriting. Employees who elect at least $10,000 may also purchase life insurance for their spouse or domestic partner. You can purchase in $5,000 increments up to $20,000 guaranteed; or, as much as $150,000 with medical underwriting.  You may also purchase up to $10,000 for each dependent child.

Employees can enroll during open enrollment subject to medical underwriting. Employees already enrolled can increase their benefit during open enrollment subject to guidelines available from Human Resources.
