About Paul Moreaux

My name is Paul, I am the WLTA for French at W&L. I was brought from Provence, the (objectively) most beautiful region in France, by the thrust of my passion for the study of international affairs and more specifically the study of the Franco-American relationship from within with programs such as Fulbright which I am part of.

Being immersed in American culture and sharing mine at the same time is a beautiful process that I am enthralled to live, taking my position as a TA very seriously and making sure that every single student gets the bigger chunk of France that I can provide.

I might have a bit of a French accent, and I love to see how American people struggle with the French /R/. Matter of fact, during my studies at Avignon université, I was struggling with that very same /R/ in English, as in was studying in a literature and American/British political studies.

My biggest passion is politics, and I take full advantage of the university's prestige and ability to political figures coming on campus for speaker events. Apart from that I love talking and going to the university's gym, so you might see me there!

Interests: American politics / Franco-American diplomatic relationships / chess / working out / travelling...

Why I wanted to apply:

I wanted to apply to a T.A position because I love my culture, and I am passionate about American politics, so the best of both world is to experience the U.S' politics from within (what's more there were major election cycles) and share my beloved culture with locals meanwhile.
