Academic Testing Procedures
Please note that the GDL is not open 24hrs a day and it is the student's responsibility to complete tests by deadlines established by the professor.
**Note: No quiz or test will be issued within 30 minutes of any specified closing time. The GDL will close and collect tests at closing time! No tests are handed out after testing period has ended without written permission from professor.
The GDL's hours of operation during Fall and Winter Terms are as follows:

Quizzes and tests are distributed by the GDL student assistant on duty and may be picked up in the GDL work center. All quizzes and tests must be signed out on the electronic system upon entry to the GDL. Testing materials should be returned to the GDL student assistant and the student must sign the test back in at the electronic station. It is to the benefit of the individual student to follow these procedures for checking out and returning testing materials. In the event of missing testing materials or other possible problems, a written record will be extremely important.
No quiz or test may leave the Global Discovery Laboratories area unless a faculty member has made PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS with a student and informed the GDL in writing.
All quizzes and test must be turned in to the GDL student assistant at the time of closing, unless a faculty member has given prior written notification to the GDL explaining the circumstances for the exemption.
The GDL adheres to guidelines of the Washington and Lee University Honor System. The GDL will report any violations to the Executive Committee.
