Washington and Lee Loan

Students are only eligible for this loan if it is determined by the Office of Financial Aid that they have exhausted all other options for covering their cost of attendance. If you are eligible for this loan, you will see a Washington and Lee Loan listed in your financial aid award letter.

You will be contacted shortly before the start of classes to complete the paperwork required for this loan.  Federal regulations under the Higher Education Opportunity Act require that students who borrow the Washington and Lee Loan complete a Private Education Loan Applicant Self Certification Form. This form MUST be completed in order to borrow the Washington and Lee Loan.

In order to complete Section 2 of the self certification form, you will need information on:

• your cost of attendance
• your financial aid eligibility
