Ms. Amy Richwine has had an interest in different countries, languages and cultures since she was a small child singing songs in different 'languages' at family gatherings. Since then, she has studied French, German and Russian language and has a BA in Russian Language and Literature and a MS in Development Management. While at the University of Virginia, she studied abroad in Russia. Ms. Richwine was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and later returned to work in Africa for 10 years as a management consultant. She has been the International Student and Scholar Advisor at Washington and Lee University since 1999 and is still always amazed and grateful for the wonderful experiences and perspectives that international students and scholars bring to the W&L campus. Her two favorite activities are fishing and gardening.
