Robert Forsberg joined the Museums at W&L in 2021 after heading various managerial teams at American University, Virginia Military Institute, and Southern Virginia University. Robert’s previous work also includes research for the State Department, European Union, and Inter-American Development Bank, as well as lecturing graduate and undergraduate courses at American University’s School of International Service on subjects ranging from the history of globalization to theories of international order.
At the Museums at W&L, Robert oversees communications, finance, and operational logistics, including marketing management, budget integration and analysis, technical training and operations, and the development of standard operating procedures. In this capacity, he serves as liaison and coordinator between the Museums, the University, and the Museums’ public partners and collaborates directly with the Museums’ curatorial team, collections management team, and visitor service manager to plan and execute the institution’s events, programs, and daily operations.
