*All meal plans include $225 per term in Meal Plan Flex Dollars. Meal Plan Flex Dollars do not carry over from term to term.

For all meal plans other than the 2 Meal Plan, the average cost per meal is less than meal equivalency rate + tax.

Notes/Restrictions     

  • If students are not able or decide not to return to campus, full refunds will be issued for the selected or default meal plans.·     

  • First Year students are required to maintain a Full Board Plan.

First-Year Students

Full Board dining meals must be redeemed at the Marketplace while open. Meals may be redeemed at Café 77, Fireside and Foodside after the Marketplace closes.

Sorority and Fraternity Plans

Sorority and fraternity members with a non-W&L Sorority/Fraternity Meal Plan are automatically assigned to a 7 Meal Plan.  This assignment may be reduced to a 2 Meal Plan by using the Meal Plan Enrollment/Change Form.Kappa Kappa Gamma, Chi Omega, and Delta Society members living in the sorority house with a W&L Sorority Meal Plan are automatically assigned to a 20 Meal Plan. This assignment may be reduced to a 15 Meal Plan if desired by using the Meal Plan Enrollment/Change Form. Kappa Kappa Gamma, Delta Society, and Chi Omega members not living in the sorority house are automatically assigned to a 10 Meal Plan. This assignment may be reduced to a 7 Meal Plan if desired by using the Meal Plan Enrollment/Change Form

Independent Students

All independent students, whether living on or off campus, will be assigned to a 10 Meal Plan. This assignment may be reduced to a 7 Meal Plan by using the Meal Plan Enrollment/Change Form.

Accommodation

In extreme circumstances, such as medical necessity, allergy, or religious observance, the Director of Dining may review and recommend a different meal plan assignment on a case-by-case basis. This review may be initiated via the Meal Plan Enrollment/Change Form.

Spring Option

Students who choose Spring Option for Washington and Lee's Spring Term have the option to receive a pro-rated refund and may initiate this process by emailing MealPlans@wlu.edu or they may opt to keep their meal plan and Dining Services will pay the taxes necessary to utilize the meal plan while not taking classes.

Study Abroad

Students that have been approved to study abroad should select "Study Abroad" on the Meal Plan Enrollment/Change Form and record which term you will be abroad for in the Notes section of the form.Fall Abroad students will have the opportunity to select which meal plan they would like for Winter-Spring term during the Winter-Spring open selection period in October.  Fall abroad students that do not make a meal plan selection will automatically be enrolled to the default meal plan associated with your housing and/or Greek designation.
