COVID-19 Enhanced Service Measures

Your safety is always our number one priority, and that is more important now than ever. In order to provide safe food service to our students and campus community, we are taking a number of steps to ensure we are meeting both food safety and social distancing guidelines. Some of these steps include:

  • Ensuring our restaurants are set up to allow proper social distancing. In some of our restaurants we will be removing all tables and serving only to go, and in others we have dramatically reduced seating to ensure we are maintaining six feet of distance between guests. We are also designating entrance and exit doors while creating as much as possible one-way traffic in our restaurants. We will extend meal periods to help address the limited capacity that we will need to adhere to and allow for adequate social distancing. In addition, students will be strongly encouraged to ware masks when they are in our restaurants, except when they are physically eating their meal.
  • Ensuring our service meets the recommended guidelines for safe service. All meals will be served by a dining service employee. Sneeze guards will be in place to provide a protective barrier between our guests and our staff who is serving the food. Cutlery will be available in no-touch dispensers or served by our staff. In addition, we will increase sanitation in all our units by ensuring our staff is being vigilant in sanitizing counters, equipment and tables and chairs.
  • Ensuring our dining personnel wears masks and gloves at all times. Additionally, dining staff will take their temperature when they arrive on site and complete a symptom survey each day at the start of their shift. If a 100.5 or higher temperature is recorded or if symptoms are present, the staff member will not be permitted to work.
