Advising Focus Area: Pre-Health Professions

Brittany joined the Career and Professional Development team in September of 2023 as the Assistant Director of CPD – Pre-Health Professions, moving from the Science Center where she spent over five years supporting the Health Professions Program and the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. As the primary pre-health advisor, she works with students and alumni as they explore, prepare for, and apply to graduate health professions programs. She assists with personal statement evaluation, mock interviews, and manages the letters collection process.

Brittany was born in Virginia but raised in West Virginia. She graduated from West Virginia University in 2013 with a BA in Multidisciplinary Studies (Advertising, Business Administration, and Communication Studies) before receiving her AAS in Funeral Services at Tidewater Community College in 2016. She is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in VA and has worked in the industry in some capacity for over 15 years, most recently as Adjunct Faculty at TCC.

Brittany and her husband, Anthony, live in Buena Vista with their two pups, Hank and Dixie Mae.
