EEG 373 – Regional Geology of Iceland

One weeks on campus, three weeks in Iceland

This course is a capstone-like jewel that is savored by the Earth and Environmental Geoscience majors. They each get a chance to take at least one regional geology course. This course in particular will explore the unique geology of Iceland, a coincident hot spot and mid-ocean ridge that is glaciated and inhabited by folk trying to make the most of the resources they have.
Prerequisites: Instructor consent and two geology courses numbered 200 or above. This course is open only to Earth and Environmental Geoscience majors.
Program fee (Paid to W&L): $2,500
Includes programming, airfare, room, nearly all meals, fees, most in-country transportation.
Additional costs: cell phone, spending money, passport, and visa fees (if applicable).
