Applications open on October 5th, 2023, and are due by 5:00 pm on Oct. 20th, 2023. You may apply for up to two courses but please indicate clearly in the application questionnaire if it is your first or second choice.
FRANCE. Spend four weeks in Paris immersed in the literary works of black writers of the Harlem Renaissance and the mid-twentieth-century period.
SPAIN. Explore internationally renowned modern artists, architects, and designers who defined Spain's unique take on 20th-century art in two of the country's most colorful and cosmopolitan cities: Barcelona and Madrid.
THE NETHERLANDS. This course involves a survey of 17th-century Dutch history, art history, etc., which links the scientific analysis to the art and culture of the time.
DENMARK. Explore concepts of happiness from cultural, empirical, and experiential perspectives.
TAIWAN. Combining language study with studies of other aspects of Chinese culture (literature, art, history, economy, etc.) provides students with first-hand experience of the development of contemporary Taiwan
ICELAND. Explore the unique geology of Iceland.
CUBA. Learn abroad from Cuban economists, marine scientists, tourism experts, and entrepreneurs who are shaping policy and practice in Cuba's emerging economy.
NEPAL. A 360 degree survey of caste in South Asia.
FRANCE. This course explores the development of museum collections over the course of the nineteenth-century, and how museums played a key role in curating the image of Nation and Empire in the imaginations of French citizens, colonial subjects, and onlookers from abroad.

GERMANY. A literary-historical analysis of the many layers in Berlin’s rich history from 1848 to the present day coupled with an introduction to international business in the European Union with a focus on socially responsible businesses in Berlin.

SOUTH KOREA. This course studies the relationship between the logarithmic Benford distribution and Korean music

IRELAND. This course will engage the music, folklore, and literature of Ireland and ways that the creation of these art forms is related to the places in which the art was created.
FRANCE. Thinkers such as Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, and Albert Camus contemplated life's meaning against the backdrop of World War II, death camps, and the development of the atomic bomb. Spend four weeks following in the footsteps of Parisian existentialists contemplating questions of the human condition.
SWITZERLAND and ITALY. learn about particle physics and gravitational wave astronomy as we travel to two of the premier "Big Science" sites in Europe: the large hadron collider at CERN in Geneva and the VIRGO gravitational wave detector in Tuscany.
ITALY. Examine the nature of civic life in contemporary Italy, primarily through field study in Bologna.

PORTUGAL. Study the Portuguese route to Santiago and then walk the 144 miles from Porto to Santiago de Compostela, to the shrine of St. James the Greater, brother of John the Apostle.
SPAIN. This course offers students a unique opportunity to improve their communication skills in the Spanish language by interacting with native speakers on a daily basis and understanding some of the cultural elements that define Spanish society today.
